October 1992, Joe Austin and Sam Chammas opened Live Wire.
Named after their college radio, KCR-the live wire, the bar was all about kick ass bands and kick ass beers.
Inch, Rocket from the Crypt, Fluf, Lucy's Fur Coat, No Knife, and more, blasted from the juke and the first wave of local beers poured from the taps: Alesmith, Ballast Point, Pizza Port, Stone, Karl Strauss, Temecula's Blind Pig , just to name a few.
Almost 24 years later, not much has changed – and why should it?
Great beers, pint size cocktails, and a kick ass jukebox.
